CHAPTER ONE She traveled alone, going home from school. The bus passed her by as she walked along the busy road, flipping off the other kids that drove by in their birthday presents. Chapter Nine: Discovery It was a warm afternoon for the autumn of Laptha. A light breeze carried across the branches of the surrounding trees. They came upon the burned ruins of the inn. Chapter Eight: Return Midmorning came to Vinn's Estate. Trina awoke to Arden's indistinctive yelling from the other room. She sits up in bed rubbing her eyes as she musters the energy to move. Chapter Six: Aquaintance Trina stands upon an island surrounded by darkness and mists. The mist swirls around Trina's feet and nothing save for her and the small island is visible. Chapter Four: New Friends, New Races, New Home Pre-dawn set upon Southern Laptha. The very earth seemed to quake beneath Trina's dreary head. It throbbed with dull pain. As Trina opened her eyes groggily, she heard the loud putter of a vehicle. She winces and groans softly as she tries t reach for her head, but discovers that her hands are bound behind her.
